John F. Kennedy Elementary School, home of the J.F.K. Eagles, is a Pre-K – 3rd grade elementary school located in West Berlin, New Jersey. Our staff works extremely hard to provide for all of the needs of our 330 students. We work cooperatively with our parents to insure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for everyone who is part of our J.F.K. Eagle family.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well.
This is a brief update as we continue our REMOTE LEARNING experience in Berlin Township. On March 21, 2020, Governor Murphy issued Executive Order # 107 requiring all residents of the state of New Jersey to remain at home. Schools have been required to be on Remote Learning since Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Furthermore, on Thursday, March 26, 2020 Governor Murphy stated as part of his daily press conference, the decision to reopen schools lies squarely with him, Governor Murphy, and that he did not intend to assess the reopening of school until at least April 17, 2020. Schools will remain closed until Governor Murphy announces a reopening date.
In compliance with the Governor’s directive, the Berlin Township School District will remain on Remote Learning Mode until Governor Murphy issues further guidance. The buildings will be closed until further notice except for administrative business and the distribution of food for eligible students. Also, the playground, fields, and basketball courts are also closed in accordance with Governor Murphy’s order to close all parks. Berlin Township Police will be monitoring these areas and anyone found violating the Governor's orders may be charged.
Spring Break is scheduled for April 10 - 17 and no new work will be assigned during that time. This is time for everyone to take a break, enjoy family, and recharge. Information on future work packet distribution and work for April 20 - May 1, 2020 will be posted on the District’s website, sent home to parents via Zipp Slip messaging, and or posted in Google Classroom.
After Spring Break food distribution will continue for eligible students on Tuesday, 4/21 and Monday, 4/27 at DDE from 8:30 - 10:30 am. Please remember to continue to practice Social Distancing guidelines during distribution.
Thank you for your continued patience during this unprecedented event. We all miss the students and our “normal” school day.
Best wishes for continued safety and health.

Dear J.F.K. Parents & Guardians,
It is with much excitement and great anticipation to welcome you to the 2019 – 2020 school year as Principal of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School. I trust that all of you have enjoyed the change of pace that the summer brings to refresh and rejuvenate. We are looking forward to working together with you to ensure another productive and successful school year at the John F. Kennedy School.
Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedures – If you are dropping off/picking up, please park on Mount Vernon Avenue. If you plan on using the front loop, please do not park your car inside the loop as this impedes our arrival/dismissal process and is dangerous to other families dropping off/picking up. Additionally, once your student(s) have safely exited on the curb side, please pull away from the curb to allow space for other families still arriving.
Note: Please remember to bring photo ID when picking up your student(s).
